Colby Cassinelli:
Before starting Crossfit, I thought of myself as athletic. I had the same routine in the gym, week after week. I kept myself at the level I thought I could not surpass. I recently enlisted in the Army as a special forces candidate, and was looking for a way to prepare myself for the rigourous training I will face. I was reffered to Crossfit, and since starting I found myself getting stronger and faster, my endurance has gone through the roof and I have gone past a point I thought I couldn't. The nature of Crossfit has kept me competing with myself to continue pushing further and further. My fitness goals are now not to maintain a level of ability, but to continually push myself past what I thought I could not achieve, a quality that will lead to success during my Army career. I feel like I am in the best shape I have ever been in and it just keeps getting better. Confidence comes from preperation, and Crossfit has deffinatly given me the confidence, not only physically but mentally to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.

Jessica Allen:
My name is Jessica Allen and I used to hate to work out. I came to Carson City Crossfit to get ready for the Coast Guard. I was technically the first client (depending on who you ask) and was proud of it. I started off not being able to run the 400m without stopping, couldn't do a push-up, and had a hard time seeing straight after every class. While the latter was still true after some workouts recently, I felt accomplished instead of out of shape. Since I started Crossfit I have become strong, capable, and confident. I am getting compliments from everyone on how great I look. Not to mention how I look at myself. I am getting toned and feel much better about looking in the mirror! This last week I ran 4 rounds of 800m, I didn't walk once and I got my best time of 4:48 in the last round! The push-ups are also coming right along. I now feel I can pass in physical training for bootcamp. I can't say enough about the physical shape that Carson City Crossfit has put me in, but by far the best part are all the people. All of the coaches are personable, helpful, and very knowledgeable. This gym has become another family for me. I am going to miss sweating in 95* weather and 50*! Going to Carson City Crossfit was by far the best thing I could have done before bootcamp. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I am forever grateful.

South Tahoe Cheer Loves Carson City CrossFit
Working with CrossFit made us better
This fall the cheer coaches at South Tahoe High School wanted to change their conditioning program. After years of the same routine the Athletes and the Coaches were bored. Coach Lia reached out to her old friend Jill and Carson City CrossFit to help make a change. Jill listened to our needs: wanting to have a strong core to aid us in our stunting. Jill designed several routines and worked with us during our two-week summer conditioning. The first day was dramatic and I thought the girls would revolt, but to my surprise the kids loved it, loved Jill and wanted to do more and more. Jill has a great way of pushing and encouraging at the same time. The kids really responded to her and pushed themselves harder than they ever have. Even though we are in regular practice mode we still use our CrossFit routines one to two times a week. As a result we have a fit and strong team with beautiful stunts.
